hehehehe strike that we don't have any daffydils as my daughter used to call them what we do have instead is butterflies or as I call them Flutterbuts heeh those that know me will know how much I love my butterflies others that know me will also know that I say that a butterfly is an angel in disguise for those that don't believe but hey thats just me what ever you believe I love them.

I was asked why I called myself Kissedbyawhisper soooo I thought I would tell you all why..

As you know from what I wrote here I adore flutterbuts, some years ago I was working in my garden and along came a butterfly and I stopped my work and watched her flit amongst the plants stopping here and then stopping there, I watched this little butterfly for what seemed like hours as she went about her business of collecting nector from my flowers in fact I was almost envious that she had the gentleness to land on a flower without even moving a petal... anyway after a while the butterfly decided to fly away and I was a little upset to think my diversion to my weeding had come to an end, sometime later she came back but this time to my amazement she landed on my face... whoohhoo I have never felt anything so soft yet something that caused me to have goosebumps.

A few days later I was trying to think of a Yahoo ID when I remembered that butterfly and thinking about her made me think that I had been Kissed by a Whisper soooooo Kissedbyawhisper was born .. see told you I am really a big old soft romantic and romance doesn't just have to be about love and all that heartache either....

Happy Wednesday to you all,

Well so far so good as this morning its not raining yeahhhhh bet ya by dinner time it is though lol... I am totally fed up with all the rain we are having... the world is so unbalanced here we are this little island that is constantly rained on so much so that one of these days I am sure we will sink heheh and then on the other side of the world they are in drought conditions its hard for me to imagine a country that has to account for even a teaspoon of water when I am growing webbed feet to cope with the amount of water we have ... ohhh well no good complaining or moaning about it as there isn't a thing I or anyone else can do about it.

So on a more cheerful note how about some pretty bright flowers to cheer me oppps you up lol Cheer us all up I mean 8-)

Hope those on the other side of the pond are all safe what with Gustav and Hanna and whoever else is blowing along your coast line and up your garden paths....

ohhhhhhh yep some pretty glassy flowers for you to play with I forgot to save one of these as a greyscale image so that you can alter the colours easier but as I started with a greyscale they should be easier to alter back, if you don't know how to do that yourself please give me a shout and I will tell you... well only if you use PSP don't know about PS lol

Made a BooBoo

I meant to tell you I made a booboo when I made the Funky Retro kit.... GRRR to me..

I always add a shadow to everything that I put into a kit for the preview AFTER I have already saved the pieces well for some reason I added the shadows to the mini templates then saved them made up the preview closing out each part as I went along well when I came to zip the kit up I realised that I had saved the templates with the shadows instead of without grr

I know some of you are way more talented than I am and I am sure that you will beable to remove those shadows, I am no good at tubing always make such a mess of it lol anyway feel free to remove the shadows.

Funky Retro

When I was makiing this mini kit a phrase kept going round in my head I have no idea where it came from but it was 'Funky Retro Cowboy' ummm sooooo I decided that I would make 2 previews one with a cowboy and showing a way to use the kit, I will confess that I don't create scrapbooks or layouts so will tell you that I don't really know how these things go together lol but I do create an aweful lot of Incredimail stats and tags and have of course joined the latest craze of scrapper tags so with that in mind I suppose you could say that what I created was a giant scrapper tag lol.

The photo is of myself (yuck hate it) and my very own cowboy who never rode a horse but instead rode a motorbike and now rides it in the sky of course this is my very own space cowboy my darling son Nathan Jon the photo was taken at my nephew's wedding a few months before Nathan died.. anyway this 'tag' created a lot of emotion here I can tell you, tears rolled down my face as I put it together to show you ... that said I hope that you like it and don't laugh too much at this cowboy saloon gal, in case you are wondering as to why we were dressed in such a manner for a wedding well my nephew Aaron is gay and had a 'brokeback mountain' themed wedding it was great fun with cowboy beans gingham clothes and all sorts of other 'cowboy' themed food and whathave you.

OK enough chit chat

The kit contains way too many buttons lol there are 10 of them

8 Vellum patches 4 with texture 4 without

5 Ribbons not sure if they really go with this kit or not umm

Hi Folks great to see you!

Wellllll here in the UK rain has stopped all play I am not kidding you the past couple of days I really don't think it has stopped and its been coming down in stair rods sooo heavy I can't see the end of my garden from where I am sat WHERE is the flipping summer ummm did we have one this year ummm me don't think so lol

Welllll ya know what that means don't ya ? yep more play time for me on my PC and in PSP sooooooooo thats good for me heheh

ok so what have I been up to well I have been making a scrap kit and a half lol I sort of got carried away but hey oh I have split it down into smaller portions to help those on dial up out.

Most of the actual elements have a bonus greyscale PNG with them so you can alter the colours to better suit your needs NOT all of the elements have a greyscale file with them ok

Doodling and Tablets

Hi Folks,

Hope you are all well and safe especially those under threat of Gustav my prayers are with you!

I haven't been around for a while busy busy ya know how it is at times, I have been away visiting relatives in Germany had a fab time ate too much ice cream the weather was great but like all good things it had to come to an end.

Since I have been back of my holidays I have to confess I have been on rather a downer and not really felt like playing on my PC

But the good news is well no not good news BRILLIANT news is that my wonderful hubby has bought me a Wacom tablet I have been wanting one for ages and now I got it lol

The past couple of days I have been having fun trying to get to grips with it way different to drawing on paper which I have to say I am reasonabley good at lol

Anyway I am no where near ready to flood the blog boards with my doodlings but thought I would share 3 small doodles with you all, the first two the butterfly and sunflower I have to confess I made a boobo on them and merged my shadow layers so sorry folks they have shadows but should you wish to use them I am sure that some of you are way more talented than I am and can remove those shadows I don't mind just be nice and don't claim as your own work

The third one the angel fish is a carry on from my other stained glass images had fun with that one its taken me ages I can tell you lol

Stained Glass of sorts lol

I must be in a real femine mood at the moment with all these flowers or it just could be because I am currently redesigning my garden and having some work done like new walls a patio been built and even a conservetary woohhoo lol

Anyway here are some umm stained glass flowers they look great on any coloured background but I like them on paler shades better heheh but hey you do what you like with them just don't claim them as your own creations, I love how these worked out no tut just my imagination lol I think I will be doing some more hehe

Well I said yesterday that I had some more goodies for you but we know what real life can be like lol never got round to loading thes new flowers, again they are cheats flowers created using another script by Beth which you can find HERE

However I did play around with them a little lol

As normal I have zipped the PNG files together the PSP files are all on one sheet with the shadows on seperate layers of course you don't have to use the same shadows they are only there for demo purposes, I have recieved a couple of mails about that lol so thought I would address it here now for you.

Creating an ‘Etched Watermark’

Quick tut:
Creating an ‘Etched Watermark’
This is a real easy tut that creates a watermark for using on stats tags or scrap kits.
I have been asked many times how I make my Incredimail footers so thought I would share with you.
Any similarities to any other tut are pure coincidence.

Supplies Needed
Font of choice, a script font is always pretty, I am using UpDock
A ding font OR pre-set shape
OR optional simple tubes don’t use one with too much detail as it becomes muddy and you loose the effect.
I am using a pre-set shape of a butterfly.
Ok ready lets get started 8-).

1/ Open a blank canvas size 500 x 500 (we will cut the waste later)
2/ Using font of choice type out your text don’t worry about colours as again we will lose this layer later, again font size doesn’t matter as we can resize once we have finished (better to be too big than too small though) for demonstration purposes I am using: Font size 72 anti-alias Sharp, stroke width 1, create as vector and my foreground box at null.
Using the nodes on your bounding box pull your text turn it rotate it etc until you are happy with how it looks, now go to Objects/align/centre in canvas, layers convert to raster layer name this layer text.
3/ Add 2 new layers to your layer pallet name the first one Cut-out and the second one Drop shadow4/ Make sure that your text layer is highlighted and go to selections/select all/ selections float/ selections de-float this will bring marching ants around your text, you can now delete your text layer
5/ Highlight the cutout layer and apply a cutout with these settings

6/ Highlight the drop shadow layer and apply a drop shadow with these settings

OPTIONAL step
If you feel that it’s looking a little too dark repeat step 6
7/ Layers merge down.
8/ Select either a preset shape, tube or ding font I am using a pre-set shape (if using a tube add a layer), pull out your shape or ding until you are happy with it, don’t make this too large the main focus should be your text, layers convert to raster
9/ Add 2 new layers to your layer pallet name the first one cutout and the second one drop shadow
10/ Make sure that your vector (or tube) layer is highlighted and go to selections/select all/ selections float/ selections de-float this will bring marching ants around your shape ding or ding font, you can now delete this layer
11/ Highlight the cutout layer and apply a cutout with the same settings
12/ Highlight the drop shadow layer and apply a drop shadow with the same settings
13/ Layers merge down
14/ Move this layer down underneath your text layer move them both into position, it looks better if part of the text is partially on your shape, once you are happy with the positioning of your text and shape layers merge visible
15/ Using your crop tool go to your top tool bar and select the ‘Merged Opaque’ icon

this will bring your bounding box in tight to your new watermark double click in the centre and all waste canvas will be cut away.
It should now look something like this

OPTIONAL steps
BEFORE cutting away your empty canvas
You could drag out a ‘box’ around your shape and text or even add another preset shape, then repeat you’re cutout and drop shadows the same as we did previously
Ending up with something like this, notice that I have changed the colour of my cutout shadow to a pale blue

Adding the frame or a simple square around the ‘watermark’ makes a great stat footer or a logo for a scrap kit.

16/ you can now save your new watermark as a tube so that you have it ready for use, also save it as a PNG file to use for your scrap kit logo or Incredimail stat footers.
When using as a watermark tube it will be too large so don’t forget to change your ‘scale’ you can also change the layer opacity so that it will blend down better with your images, there are endless possibilities with this tut every time it is unique depending on fonts shapes etc

Here is another one that I made with a tube and different font (Velvet Script)

Before I merged all my layers I also lowered the opacity to 50 I left the tube on this one but lowered the opacity right down to 20
Had I have removed the tube completely well this is what we would of seen

Umm looks like my name over a splash lol not so pretty.
Here is the same ‘watermark’ but with a simple square around it this time I changed my cutout shadow to a pale orange that the original tube flower was

Here is the exact same image on a dark background

Saving as a PNG file to use on your stats and scraps means that you never have to worry about it as it will look good on 99% of your creations, on rare occasions you do loose some of the detailing yet another one will work out well I don’t know why this is lol

Well that’s the end of my tut I hope you have enjoyed creating a new ‘etched’ watermark logo or footer.

Lets start with some really pretty Flutterbuts as welllllll butterflies are my favourite thing to play with, I played again with the wonderful tut by Dragons Breath

I just love this tut lol this time I have attempted to make lacy flutters and though I say so myself I am rather pleased with them

There are 8 different colours for you to play with and of course you may change the colours if you wish, I think you will find it easier to change the white one rather than any of the colours..I have zipped them all together for you.

Mini Sewing kit

This was a lot of fun to make though time consuming ... it all came about because my daughter Anna wanted me to turn the hem of her trousers up, wellll for the life of me I couldn't find my sewing box grr LOL I am organised to the point of obsession here on my PC but when it comes to my home welllllll thats another story lol I am not one of those folks who must spend hours and houts every day cleaning and polishing gees I just don't have the time lol anyway not been able to find my sewing box got me thinking now if only it were pc relatated I would know exactly where it was hehehe

GOOD news is I found it LOL

Last time I had it out I also had my sewing machine out and yep you guessed my machine is in a large holdall specially made for the machine and it has huge pockets in it anddddd my box was in one of those heheheh

ohhhhh well never mind because of it this mini scrap pack was born hehehe taggers size as are all the things I make, now before you download this and open it please bare in mind I can't draw that good and well my thinmble is more like a chrome flower pot than a thimble and as for my skeins of thread well I will let you be the judge of those heeheh

All that matters is that I had some fun figuring out how to make some of these things.

If any of you come across a ding font that has a thimble in it please give me a shout orrrr a selections tut or any other form of PSP tut that will help me make thimbles and cotton skeins heheeh

WOW what a day we have had here torrential rain and thunderstorms more like November than July ..

Oh well that means I have been playing lol

I am a member of a group that is creating a large scrap pack for fellow PSPers and wellllll I have made some stuff for that I will tell you more about it at the right time 8-)

I have finally finished my first scrapbook kit and have to say its ended up a lot bigger than I anticipated lol but hey thats me hehehe

Not sure if everything will work together this was more of a personal excersise that I thought I would share with you all, I would love to see anything that you create using this my first kit.

Glitter Flowers

Welllllll I said I had more coming didn't I lol
and here they are this time Flowers
There are 10 in the zip I have them as PSP images on seperate layers just in case you would like to add some sparkle to them all you need to do is duplicate the layers add some Xenofex Constellation or some such and viola sparkling glitters lol

I have been playing around with creating blings sort of winging it but hey not too bad though I say so myself lol
Thought I would share them with you all.

Here is an alpha that I created and actually ended up something like heheh

Add an image
Make stats or tags whatever
make it run faster whatever
